A: Atego has acquired the IBM Rational Ada Developer product family. The main component of this product family is the IBM Rational Apex integrated development environment. Atego has also acquired the IBM Rational Ada Developer product development and support engineers, as well as all existing customer support contracts.
Q: When was the acquisition?
A: Atego and IBM signed the acquisition on July 4, 2012. The acquisition will be closed on August 1, 2012.
Q: Will Atego retain all of the IBM Rational Apex employees?
A: Yes, Atego is committed to retaining all of the IBM Rational Apex employees, as they are a key asset of this acquisition. They will be fully integrated into the Atego organization.
Q: Will Atego continue to support IBM Rational Apex?
A: Yes, from August 1, 2012 and onward, Atego will provide support for this product family though all of its support channels, including; US and European telephone support, worldwide email support, and web case logging through the www.atego.com customer area. Until that date, support will continue to be provided by IBM.
