How does query language impact results in search against catalog scope in Quickr for Portal ?
Answer
In 'Quickr for WebSphere Portal' , when a full text search is performed against the catalog scope, the query phrase is stemmed based on the language of the query ( derived from user profile or browser language or Server's language setting in that order ) .The result obtained therefore can be different for each language even for the same query phrase. This behavior is same as in content search for this product.
Additionally, when using quotes in the search query, the stemming process is not performed and an exact match is done. This may lead to different results when searching for terms with and without quotes in the query.
