Question
How can Maximo 7.5 Help be made visible?
Answer
In some instances of Maximo, the help produces a 500 error with the following errors in the System.out log file:
Current Java 2 Security policy reported a potential violation of Java 2 Security Permission. Refer to the InfoCenter for further information.
Permission:Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\ctgAppSrv01\temp\ctgNode01\MXServer\MXIEHS\maximoiehs.war\eclipse : Access denied (java.io.FilePermission C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\ctgAppSrv01\temp\ctgNode01\MXServer\MXIEHS\maximoiehs.war\eclipse read)
To resolve this problem, please do the following:
1) Log into the Webpshere Console. Expand the Security Pane – click on the Global Security option:
2) Uncheck the 'Use Java 2 Security to restrict application access to local resources':
3) Save the changes. Restart the Application Server.
4) Log back into Maximo and test the Help:
