Problem(Abstract)
Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack Server performs unexpected full snapshots after reporting JOB status as “Uncertain” as result of a cleanup activity. Potential errors coded in Event log are "FBSS7551E,FBSS7552E,FBSS7550E".
Resolving the problem
The FastBack Server is able to detect a potential corruption in it's Repository. When any corruption is recognized, the following will occur:
- An exclamation mark will be added at the line for the problematic snapshots
- The JOB status and logs will contain a notice that the JOB may not be viable (and to consider this before a restore is performed with this data).
- Set a trigger for the next backup to be a full, in order to provide a new starting point for the backups.
