DB2 SQL statement fails with package not found on the IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliance

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

When an SQL statement from the IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliance to a DB2 server is executed, a failure occurs with an error message similar to the following:

[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] SQL0805N Package
"DB21T.NULLID.SYSSH200.5359534C564C3031" was not found. SQLSTATE=51002

Cause

This error is the result of missing DB2 CLI package(s) on the DB2 server-side.

Resolving the problem

The DB2 administrator must bind all required packages on the server-side in order for DataPower to successfully execute the SQL statements.

For more information please read the following article in the DB2 Solution Information Center: DB2 CLI bind files and package names.
