Memory Leak on SA IOM Server requires reboot to resolve

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

User noticed memory increasing on the SA IOM server and had to reboot the server every 24-48 hours to relieve the issue

Cause

Investigation showed that these processes were left over from the following:

C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe /K autoEXNT1.bat and
C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe /K autoEXNT2.bat

Resolving the problem

autoEXNT.bat, autoEXNT.exe, autoEXNT1.bat, autoEXNT2.bat files are created by SA IOM installer and used to auto start eWAS and Derby, but these are called from SA IOM directories.

autoEXNT1.bat and autoEXNT2.bat are Microsoft files or features that any application can use.

This issue was resolved by disabling these files by renaming them under the Windows services.
