Abstract
ITM623 provides a configurable option during installation and configuration of the Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server for the "ITM REST Service". The ITM REST service is not supported in ITM623 unless you are using products from the Tivoli "SmartCloud Application Performance Management (APM)" suite. The ITM REST Service will not be supported for any use other than APM products in ITM v623.

When installing the ITM Tivoli Enterprise Portal server (TEPS) there is an option during the configuration process to enable the "ITM REST Service". When installing the TEPS on Windows the option is part of the "TEP Server Configuration" dialog that is launched from the "Manage Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Services" UI. In the lower right hand corner of the dialog there is a check box to enable/disable the "ITM REST Service".
During the command line install of the TEPS on Linux/UNIX you are presented with the following question:
Enable ITM REST service ? (1=Yes, 2=No)(Default is: 2):
