There are 3 authentication methods for Tivoli Provisioning Manager for Software
OS Authentication
- Users accounts must exists in the local Operational System
Ready-only-LDAP without LDAP SSL communication
- LDAP used only for authentication
- LDAP user must be imported into TPMfSW according to "Tivoli Provisioning Manager for Software Installation Guide for AIX" - Chapter 5 - Post-installation configuration / Configuring a ready-only-ldap / Importing LDAP Users.
Ready-only-LDAP with LDAP SSL communication
- LDAP schema must be extended according to "Tivoli Provisioning Manager for Software Installation Guide for AIX" - Apendix E - Installing the directory server
