Question

Can you install IBM Rational Robot on the same computer, where you have IBM Rational ClearCase?

Cause

You want to run both products on the same computer in the latest releases.

Answer

You cannot install Rational Robot 7.0.3.X with Rational ClearCase 8.X.X.X. The reason is that both products share libraries. When you first install Robot 7.0.3 and install Rational ClearCase 8.0.0.3 afterwards, the latter product makes calls to wrong libraries. These libraries are wrong because Rational ClearCase 8.0.0.3 has never been tested to run with 7.0.3 libraries.

If you run Rational Robot 7.0.3.X and Rational ClearCase 8.X.X.X on the same computer, you run an unsupported configuration.
