How to change the language in which the documentation in DataStage is displayed

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

After installation of InfoSphere Information Server Client in Windows with given Regional Settings user would like to have help messages displayed in different language.

Resolving the problem

Language of the help opened in the browser depends on Regional and Language Options currently set in the client machine.

So, if DataStage client was installed on the OS with German language settings pressing F1 or Help button during edition of stage's properties will open default web browser with documentation in German.

There are two ways to have help displayed in different language, say French:
1. Change Regional and Language Options to French
or
2. Install another web browser, like Firefox, in language in which documentation is to be displayed. In this example it would be French version of Firefox. After that if default browser in Windows is changed to French version of Firefox documentation will open in French.
