Enter key shortcut not working in Java profiled application.

Question & Answer

Question

After profiling a Java application, it was noticed that the 'Enter' key stopped working for some buttons that had the 'Enter' key defined as a shortcut for activation. Why is this.

Cause

The cause of this was identified as being due to profile states with more than two triggers which do monitoring of a certain type (eg Window is clicked).

Answer

This can be resolve by modify the profile written for the application so that no state has more than one trigger of a monitoring type (Window is clicked). If only one trigger is present, then Enter key continue to
work correctly.

Analysis has indicated that this is caused by the design of the Java application.
