Cannot connect to remote node after installing Connect:Direct i5/OS

Question

The following error messages show in the CDLOG spool file and CDSELSTAT command.

ASMT116I PNODE connection failed.
ATCP068I TCP SRC Ports port selection failed.
ATCP070I TCP SRC Ports specification validation failure
ATCP063E >>>> Message "ID" Not found in Message File <<<<
ATCP054E >>>> Message "ID" Not found in Message File <<<<

Cause

The values in the INITPARMS file are prefilled in with an example, and were not removed when Connect:Direct i5/OS was configured.

Answer

Use the command WRKCDPARM and blank out the values in the parameters;

TCP SRC Ports . . . . . . . . . TCPSRCPORT

Stop Connect:Direct with the ENDCD command.
End the Connect:Direct Subsystem with ENDSBS command.
Start the Connect:Direct subsystem with STRSBS command.
