Problem

Portal 8.0 install failed where 8.0.0.0-WS-WASJavaSDK-LinuxS39064-IFPM61455 8.0.0.20120405
_1359 package could not be found.

Symptom

Install fails with following message:

ERROR: The 8.0.0.0-WS-WASJavaSDK-LinuxS39064-IFPM61455 8.0.0.20120405
_1359 package specified in the /home/tanl/enable_standalone_full.xml file cannot be found.
CRIMA1002W WARNING: The following repositories are not connected:
-/install2/portal/wp8/Setup/WASFixes


Cause

This error occurred because the version of the WAS ifix defined in the response file does not match the version of the actual fix.

Linux silent install

Diagnosing the problem

Reviewing the response file, the offering entry will look like this:

<offering id='8.0.0.0-WS-WASJavaSDK-LinuxS39064-IFPM61455'
version='8.0.0.20120405_1359' profile='IBM WebSphere Application Server
Network Deployment V8.0' features='-' />

When opening the WAS ifix file and reviewing the repository.xml file, the version info shows:

version='8.0.0.20120405_1358'

Resolving the problem

To resolve the issue, the response file's offering entry must be edited from version='8.0.0.20120405_1359' to version='8.0.0.20120405_1358'
