The wmannode command doesn't return the memory information of a ManagedNode in a TMR.

Problem(Abstract)

The customer finds out the wmannode doesn't return the memory information of a server which installed the ManagedNode.

Symptom

The below information shows up the problem.

Cause

The problem is caused by the different behavior of Linux among versions.

Environment

The wmannode command can not retrieve the correct memory size on the following versions of Linux:


(1) RHEL 4 or later versions (x86/x64/ppc/z)
(2) SLES 9 or later versions (x86/x64/ppc/z)

The problem happens on both TMF 4.1.1 and 4.3.1.

Resolving the problem

There is a APAR IV20135 created for this problem. The fix will be included in the next TMF patch of Tivoli Management Framework 4.3.1.
