The Login to the Rational Change 'admin' interface hangs on "Authentication"

Part 3c of the installation instructions for the Rational Change 5.3.0.3 Fixpack states that you must manually install the 32bit or 64bit directory. Which directory is used depends on the 'bitness' of the Operating System. The error message displayed will indicate which is being looked for. Failure to do th copy results in this hang and error.

This is also seen after installing later Fix packs as well.

Review the event.log for the error message shown in the Symptom above.

Follow the installation instructions described in the release notes:

c. The 'license_api' directory delivered with the fix pack is not automatically installed. For this, first take a manual backup of the file <CHANGE_APP_HOME>/WEB-INF/lib/32Bit (or 64Bit) directory (Choose the directory according to the bitness of your OS). From the unzipped location (in step 2), copy the license_api/32Bit (or 64Bit) directory and replace CHANGE_APP_HOME>/WEB-INF/lib/32Bit (or 64Bit) directory.

That is:

1. Make a manual backup of the file <CHANGE_APP_HOME>/WEB-INF/lib/32Bit (or 64Bit) directory. (Choose the directory according to the bitness of your OS).
   
   
2. Replace the <CHANGE_APP_HOME>/WEB-INF/lib/32Bit (or 64Bit) directory with a copy of the license_api/32Bit (or 64Bit) directory and from the unzipped location used in step 2 of the installation instructions for the fixpack.
   
   
3. Stop and Restart the Rational Change server
