Opening a cloned project gives "No Environment Selected" warning

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

When cloning a project in the Rational Integration Tester of IBM Rational Test Workbench (and Green Hat Tester), the cloned project does not automatically have an environment selected.

Symptom

When you open the cloned project the window title will include the warning:

No Environment Selected

On executing a test, the following error message is displayed:

The resource could not be run as there is currently no environment selected.
Do you want to select an environment?

Cause

Cloning a project enables you to make an exact copy of an existing project. This can be used as a template for future projects. The environment selected in the original project is not automatically configured in the copy as this is a user preference. You must set the environment when you run the cloned copy.

Resolving the problem

In order to work with the cloned project, it is necessary to select an environment.

  1. Click the Environments icon in the main toolbar.
  2. Click on the environment name.
  3. Click on the Use the currently selected Environment icon and click OK to save.

NOTE: This selection is remembered the next time you open the project.
