IBM Rational Build Forge Perl API adding [BINARY] tags to register

Problem(Abstract)

When generating a register via the IBM Rational Build Forge Perl API and applying data to the register, the date is surrounded by "[BINARY]xxxx0[/BINARY].

Cause

This has been identified as a product defect under APAR PM65866.

Resolving the problem

The defect has been resolved as of Build Forge 7.1.3.4.

Workaround:

Use Build Forge Java API to create project registers, where issue is not seen.
