Troubleshooting
Problem
IBM Rational Asset Manager (RAM) Eclipse Client cannot load a required component for its internal web browser and throws one of two error messages.
Symptom
When a user tries to open an asset by means of Rational Manager Asset Manager Rich Client (Eclipse), the user receives either one of the following error messages:
Error in load listener
No more handles
OR
Error in load listenerXPCOM error -2147467259
Resolving The Problem
In order to use Rational Asset Manager Rich Client (Eclipse), Eclipse needs to load a compatible version of xulrunner. (such as xulrunner-compat-1.9.1.15-1.i586)
- Install a compatible xulrunner (a 32 bit version) from your Linux Distribution such as RedHat and SUSE.
- Go to <RAM Client Installed Directory>
- Open the eclipse.ini file with a text editor
- Add -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=<xulrunner path> to the last line of eclipse.ini file.
such as -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner-compat - Save the eclipse.ini > Launch eclipse
