Stand-alone Microsoft SQL Server Express User Instances with Logic Net Plus

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Can Logic Net Plus work with stand-alone instance of SQL server ?

Answer

Logic Net Plus XE stores model data in a format usable by Microsoft SQL Server 2008. This data is attached to a Microsoft SQL Server instance. By default, the application will install a new Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express instance configured to run as a User Instance. It is also possible to use a pre-existing instance of Microsoft SQL Server as long as it is installed on the same computer as the application itself, and is one of the following versions:
· Microsoft SQL Server 2008 SP1 or higher Express (32-bit or 64-bit)

· Microsoft SQL Server 2008 SP1 or higher Standard Edition (32-bit only)

· Microsoft SQL Server 2008 SP1 or higher Enterprise Edition (32-bit only)
