Error "A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle /jts has not been defined" on WebSphere ND deployment

Problem(Abstract)

Testing IBM Jazz Team Server (JTS) in web browser causes "SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle /jts has not been defined" error message.

Symptom

You see following error message in JTS:

[5/8/12 10:36:45:625 EDT] 00000027 webcontainer E com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.WebContainer handleRequest SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle /jts has not been defined.


Cause

When changing Node manager configuration, the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) of the Node Manager does not load the new configuration dynamically.


Resolving the problem

Make sure that the Node Manager has been synchronized and the Node Manager has been recycled after you add an entry to the Virtual Host configuration.
