Error "A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle /jts has not been defined" on WebSphere ND deployment

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

When testing the Jazz Team Server (JTS) URL in a browser, you will get a message telling you the IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) does not have the right WebGroup/Virtual Host configuration. However, in the WAS node manage virtual host configuration page the Virtual Host definitions are in place.

Symptom

Error reported when testing the Jazz Team Server URL in a browser:

[5/8/12 10:36:45:625 EDT] 00000027 webcontainer E com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.WebContainer handleRequest SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle /jts has not been defined.

Cause

When changing Node manager configuration, the JVM of the Node Manager does not load the new configuration dynamically.

Resolving the problem

Make sure that the Node Manager has been synchronized and the Node Manager has been recycled after you add an entry to the Virtual Host configuration.

Refer to the Synchronizing nodes after changing the master repository configuration for further details.
