Optimizing Performance in Studio when Working with Complex Schemas

Question

There are some instances where the default settings in Cast Iron Studio may cause some performance issues when working with Complex Schemas. An example of a typical performance behavior with these type of schemas is button clicks do not trigger events as expected within the graphical user interface. What can be done to improve the performance?

Answer

Modify the preferences for the XML Schema Resolver.

1. Select the item "Preferences" from the menu Edit within Cast Iron Studio.

2. Select XML Schema Resolver. Below are the default values:



3. Now decrease the values, click OK, and re-open your project.
