Using shortcuts to start the common login window

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

This technote provides instructions for a shortcut that is available through the Start menu, to start the common login window. The common login window provides access to the User Console and the Administration user interfaces.

Resolving the problem

The User Console user interface monitors human interaction in an event flow. The Administration (or Administrative Console) user interface monitors the event run time, and creates reports.

Use shortcuts to access the common login window, through the Start menu (on Windows only):

  • Click Start > All Programs > IBM > WebSphere Operational Decision Manager V7.5.0.2 > Sample Server > Events Administration Console.
  • When the common login window is displayed, enter your user ID and password. If user authentication is enabled and you enter an incorrect user ID and password combination, the login window is displayed again.
  • Choose either User Console or Administration from the Tools list, and click Login.
