Problem(Abstract)
User clicks "Reports - Reconcile Intercompany report". User tries to run a report. User receives an error.
Symptom
IBM Cognos Controller Error
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue....
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. --> System RuntimeInteropServices.COMException (0x80040E14): Invalid column name 'vernr'."
Cause
Defect (APAR PM63790) in Controller.
Environment
Controller 10.1.391 or earlier.
Diagnosing the problem
Problem does not affect all reports. For example, in one real-life example, when running the Intercompany Reconciliation report there are the following selections in Extended dimension selection: tick option 2 Dim Levels or 3 Dim Codes (both selections give an error message) 1st choice works fine .
Resolving the problem
Either:
- Upgrade to Controller 10.1.394 or later 10.1.0 release
- or upgrade to Controller 10.1.1 FP1 (10.1.1671) or later.
