How can I perform a health check on the Deployment Engine?

Answer

The autonomic Deployment Engine Health Checker Utility (DE HC) is a service and support tool to pre-emptively check the “health” and status of an existing DE installation. This tool will be able to detect many of the known common problems with the current DE installation, as well as OS configuration problems that may exist on the given machine that would hinder a smooth installation of DE and, subsequently, its deploying products.

Request from the customer the output of this utility:

For Admin install :

Unix:
/usr/ibm/common/acsi/bin/de_healthChecker.sh

Windows:
C:\Program Files\IBM\Common\acsi\bin\de_healthChecker.cmd

For Non-admin install: 

Unix:
/home/<username>/.acsi_<username>/bin/de_healthChecker.sh

Windows:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\acsi_<username>\bin\de_healthChecker.cmd
