Problem(Abstract)
Connect:Direct for z/OS abends with S0EC6 in MODULE BPXPR after upgrading to Z/OS 1.11 or above.
Symptom

SRB+1582,ABEND=S0EC6,REASON=0BF20050
Cause
The S0EC6 ABEND was introduced as a diagnostic ABEND by USS with APAR
OA35080. No additional z/OS fix is needed.
Environment
Z/OS 1.11 or Z/OS 1.12 or Z/OS 1.13
Resolving the problem
Download POST5000 as of 4-15-2012 or later
and apply fix T050014 -
: PREVENT SEC6 BY USING SEPARATE AIOCB FOR
: CANCEL REQUEST AFTER TIMEOUT. SEC6 APPEARS
: AFTER APAR OA35080 IS APPLIED ON Z/OS V1R11
: AND ABOVE.
