Route Workflow Inbox assignments to directly open Work Order Actuals tab

Question

Is it possible to bring the Users directly to the Work Order Actuals tab when clicking their assignments in the Workflow Inbox on the Startcenter?

Answer

The answer is Yes.

In the workflow process you will need to add an Interaction node following the task assignment node.


The best way to achieve this scenario resulting in the fewest clicks for user is to uncheck the Display One? field in the preceding Task Assignment Properties.


In the Interaction Node Properties,

Application:WOTRACK


The Tab Name is = tab id from the WOTRACK.XML
<tab id="actuals" label="Actuals">
Action:ROUTEWF (will move the assignment to next node.)


The scenario works as follows:
1. An Assignment gets routed into WF and the assignment is made and appears in users inbox.
2. From Inbox, user clicks Route Icon, which will bring the user to WOTRACK, Actuals tab with record in view.
3. User then adds data on Actuals tab and saves. Record is routed to next node.
