Technote (troubleshooting)
Problem
You use IBM Lotus Domino iNotes 8.5.2FP3 and 8.5.2PF4 for your mail and messaging application. Your Firefox version 10 and 11 browsers crash when spelling checking multiple miss spelled words.
Cause
This has been identified as a product defect under APAR LO67662, SPR XXQU8RW9EZ.
Diagnosing the problem
Enable your Firefox version 10 or 11 browser to spell check a message before sending it. Create a message with several misspelled words, ten or so in a row. When Firefox attempts to spell check the browser crashes.
Resolving the problem
This issue is now fixed in Lotus Domino 8.5.3.
Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.
The issue is only seen with Firefox 10 or 11 with Domino 8.5.2 FP3 and FP4. This problem has not been seen in other web browsers or versions of Domino.
