IEE538I CTIBBO60 MEMBER NOT FOUND IN PARMLIB

Troubleshooting

Problem

You see IEE538I CTIBBO60 MEMBER NOT FOUND IN PARMLIB in the joblog when starting WebSphere Application Server for z/OS.

Symptom

IEE538I CTIBBO60 MEMBER NOT FOUND IN PARMLIB

Cause

WebSphere Application Server for z/OS v7.0 is shipped with ras_trace_ctraceParms=60 in the daemon was.env file. This causes WebSphere Application Server to look for CTIBBO60 in parmlib. CTIBBOxx contains information for WebSphere CTRACE. If WebSphere Application Server has been migrated to a higher release, it may still be using ras_trace_ctraceParms=60.

Resolving The Problem

This message does not cause any problems. If CTIBBO60 is not found, then CTIBBO00 will be looked for.

If you would like to stop this message from occurring, you can change Daemon_ras_trace_ctraceParms to point to a CTIBBOxx parmlib member that does exist. For information on how to do this, refer to Trace control settings in the Knowledge Center.

For information on how to create a CTIBBxx parmlib member, refer to Preparing CTRACE controls and resources in the Knowledge Center.
