WebSphere BI for FN PTFs for SWIFT SR2012 changes

The SWIFT MT Standards Release 2012 (SR2012) will be effective as of 17 November 2012.

This document describes the WebSphere BI for FN Version V3.1.1 PTFs that address this new standard.
It is not planned to provide PTFs for SR2012 changes for WebSphere BI for FN Version V3.1.0 and WebSphere BI for FN Version V2.2.0.

SWIFT mandates the usage of Application Service Profile (ASP) for FIN interfaces with SR2012. WebSphere BI for FN will provide PTFs that support the usage of ASP with FIN. These WebSphere BI for FN PTFs for ASP FIN are pre-requisites for the WebSphere BI for FN PTFs for SR2012, and can be installed before SWIFT SR2012 live date.
SWIFT plans to make the updated ASP files available in June 2012.

SWIFT updates the RMA schemas to support FIN SR2012. For WebSphere BI for FN customers using the WebSphere BI for FN RMA, no action is required as the WebSphere BI for FN implementation is tolerant for such changes.

SR2012 removes the 2000-character length restriction from the following MTs: 021, 029, 066, 082, 083, and 097. This PTF helps you to adapt the length checking of messages. Note: SWIFT's change of maxlength of several system message requires also MERVA customers to install this PTF that provides the configuration script to adapt the SR2012 maxlength checking in WebSphere BI for FN FIN. For customers who use WebSphere BI for FN to validate messages also the following applies: You can install this PTF before the live date; however, when you install it on a production system, do not run the CLI script that adapts the message length check prior to the live date. On test systems you can change the activation date of the SR2012 message definition set. We recommend to change the activation date via WebSphere BI for FN configuration only on test system. On a production system, don't specify any configuration. This will cause an automated activation of the SR2012 validation rules set during the SWIFT downtime on 17 November 2012.
