Problem(Abstract)
After installing the IBM Rational ClearQuest, Web feature on a system configured with IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.0, you get an error message about an exception encountered when deploying the TeamEAR.ear file.
Symptom
After the installing a ClearQuest web package, this error message is displayed:
Windows:
Exception encountered while deploying application
C:/Program Files (x86)/IBM/RationalSDLC/clearquest/cqweb/lib/TeamEAR.ear"
Unix:
Exception encountered while deploying application
opt/IBM/RationalSDLC/clearquest/cqweb/lib/TeamEAR.ear
You can ignore this error message. The product has been installed correctly and will work when it is started.
Resolving the problem
To prevent the warning message about the TeamEAR.ear file from being issued, apply the latest Fix Pack available for IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.0. before installing IBM Rational ClearQuest v8.0 or later.
