Problem(Abstract)
Attempts to launch TM1Web result in an error when using IBM Cognos TM1 after an upgrade from version 9.5.2.
TM1 9.5.2 was working fine up until the upgrade. Uninstalled TM1 9.5.2, rebooted, removed all the remaining folders of the 9.5.2 install, tm1web directories and shortcut folders, then installed TM1 10.1.
Symptom
| Server error in '/TM1Web' Application Configuration Error An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request... Parser error message: could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Abstractions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=...' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied. |
Environment
VM, Windows 2008 R2 SP1, 64 bit. TM1 Web 64bit, Cognos BI 10.1 is running under 32 bit app pool. IIS 7.5
Resolving the problem
- Restore the Web server image to a point where it last worked with any version of TM1.
- One customer found that there were group policies applied on the server which were not properly applied to the Microsoft assembly located at c:\windows\assembly.
NOTE: This is not a TM1 issue - Microsoft support needed to be engaged.
