Question

How do you find out if there are any expressions running in the background when using IBM Rational Focal Point?

Cause

There may be some expressions that might be configured with "run_at" and "update_interval" parameter in the expression syntax.

Answer

You can follow the steps mentioned below in Rational Focal Point to list all the background expressions running and the expressions that are waiting to be triggered

  1. Login to Focal Point with Global Administrator rights

  2. Go to Advanced > SQL

  3. Run the following SQL commands one by one in SQL interface:
    • select count(*) from qrtz_triggers where trigger_group='formula.timer' and trigger_name not like '%run_at%'

    • select count(*) from qrtz_triggers where trigger_group='formula.timer' and trigger_name not like '%run_at%' and TRIGGER_STATE='WAITING"

    • select count(*) from qrtz_triggers where trigger_name like '%run_at%'

    • select count(*) from qrtz_triggers where trigger_name like '%run_at%' and TRIGGER_STATE='WAITING'
