Question

FAQ: What changes need to be made to RosettaNet maps created in the 1.0 Extension so they will work with the 5.X Releases of IBM Gentran Server for Windows?

Answer

All Maps:

The Root Tag of the RosettaNet Message has changed. The tag for the 1.0 Extension was: RosettaNetMerge

The New Root for an RNIF 1.1 Message is: RosettaNetMerge1.1
The New Root for an RNIF V02.00 Message is: RosettaNetMergeV02.00

Inbound Maps:

The 1.0 Extension Inbound maps required an extended rule to populate the PIPInstance_tb database table with all of the Service Header and Preamble information.

Remove this rule from all inbound maps as it is no longer needed, because the RosettaNet Delivery Agent updates the necessary information to the database.

Outbound Maps:

The 1.0 Extension Outbound maps required that certain elements of the ServiceHeader Element be created during the Import process.

The ServiceHeader Element is no longer needed in the Outbound maps.
The Output side of the map should now have the following 6 Elements as child elements to the Root Element: ServiceContentDTD, ServiceContentDocType, PartnerName, InResponseDocumentName, DocumentName, GlobalBusinessActionCode
