Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to add a service type link from IBM Rational Team Concert, Rational Quality Manager or Rational Design Manager to Rational DOORS results in the error "GET failed with http code 401 and invalid_consumer_key".
Symptom
You will get the following error when adding a service link type:
GET failed with http code 401 and invalid_consumer_key
Cause
The consumer key is incorrect or it has been generated in the wrong place.
- For Rational Team Concert(RTC), it should be generated in the Consumers (Inbound) section of the CCM application.
Example:https://win-6vg357ru4g2:9443/ccm/admin - For Rational Quality Manager(RQM), it should be generated in the Consumers (Inbound) section of the RQM application.
Example:https://win-6vg357ru4g2:9443/qm/admin - For Rational Design Manager(RDM), it should be generated in the Consumers (Inbound) section of the Jazz Team Server(JTS)
(*not* the Design Manager(DM) application, see Enhancement 38736).

Resolving The Problem
Generate the consumer key in the correct Consumers (Inbound) location and indicated above.
