Remote TEMS recovery after a TCP/IP recycle

Technote (FAQ)

Question

What happens on a z/OS remote TEMS when the TCP/IP is recycled?

Answer

If TCPIP is stopped, and the z/OS remote TEMS has TOLERATERECYCLE specified, then the existing connection is dropped with ENETDOWN.

ITM Basic Services then waits for TCPIP to come back up at which point the interface is initialized and the remote TEMS can then reconnect to the hub TEMS.
