Technote (troubleshooting)
Problem
Enduser would like to see the Notes Client preference for "Disable the embedded browser for MIME mail" under File - Preferences - Additional Options changed to "Enable Notes Browser".
Symptom
Enduser finds it confusing to enable an option in order to disable it.
Cause
This was submitted to IBM Development SPR #MCMA8QZU2V and APAR #LO66971 as an Enhancement Request and will be reviewed for a future feature release.
Diagnosing the problem
The wording of the Notes Client preference for "Disable the embedded browser for MIME mail" under File - Preferences - Additional Options is confusing to some users as it requires users to enable the option in order to disable it. Can the wording of this preference be changed?
An enhancement request was submitted to ask the text for this option be changed to "Enable Notes Browser".
Resolving the problem
APAR LO66971 and SPR MCMA8QZU2V was submitted to ask IBM Notes Development to review the current wording of this Notes Client "Additional Option" Preference.
