Installation of fixpack fails, "No license found on this machine"

Problem(Abstract)

Installation of a TSAAM fixpack fails with an error message stating "No license found on this machine" even though its an upgrade from the GA version of this fixpack which includes the license file.

Symptom

No License found on this machine. Installation not possible. Please install a valid license first.

Cause

This issue stems from an undeleted file marker in the /tmp directory.

Resolving the problem

Search the tmp directory for a hidden file called ".initial_marker" and delete this file. Afterwards the installation should proceed without issue.
