Information Management for z/OS FLOW Command

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

Using the FLOW command in IBM Tivoli Information Management for z/OS (InfoMan) to determine panel flow

Symptom

You may be having something unexpected occur in one of your InfoMan processes or panel flows

Diagnosing the problem

One of the InfoMan commands that can be used to determine where things are not occurring as expected is the FLOW (FL) command. The way you use this command is to go to the InfoMan panel where you know things go wrong, then Enter FL (short for FLOW) before you invoke the process that goes wrong. This will turn on panel FLow which shows you all the panels you are flowing through. Interrogate the panel flow to determine where things are going wrong.
