Technote (FAQ)
Question
Which IMS™ Tools support the use of z/OS® Extended Address Volumes (EAVs) on IMS V12?
Answer
EAVs were introduced with z/OS V1.10, as described in Previewing z/OS Release 10.
The following table provides information about which IMS Tools support EAVs and the minimum maintenance that might be required. The maintenance might vary depending on the version of z/OS. For example, changes were made to the Unit Control Block (UCB) in z/OS V1.13 that might require additional maintenance to be applied for the IMS Tool to work correctly.
