Information about the support of 64 bit jvm for TDI 7.1 on AIX 64 bit platform.
TDI 7.1 is henceforth supported on 64 bit jvm on AIX 64 bit platform.
Below are the detailed steps for configuring a 64 bit jvm on AIX 64 bit platform.
Steps to update the JRE on 64 bit AIX are as follows.
1) Install TDI 7.1.
2) Install 64-bit Java6 IBM JRE for the corresponding platform.
3) Edit the <TDI_Install_dir>bin/javaHome.sh to provide the path to the newly installed JRE home in step #2.
4) Back up the existing libi4trybuyjni.a file found in <TDI_Install_dir>/libs folder and replace with the attached libi4trybuyjni.a file.
Note: The CE, CEupdate and IEHS (Help system) are not supported for this combination. So either you can selectively NOT install them when you install TDI in Step#1 above or not use them if you happen to install. The CE, CEupdate and IEHS will continue to work properly when 32 bit JRE is used.
