Problem(Abstract)

Error in Flexera: "Error returned from license server: A license modification was attempted for a serial number that wasn't found in the license database."

Resolving the problem

Problem:
When you log into the Flexera license application and attempt to make changes to your TEM license; the following error is returned from the License Key Center webpage:

Errors Occurred. The error messages are:
Error returned from license server: A license modification was attempted for a serial number that wasn't found in the license database.

Resolution:

To solve this problem, you must first install the TEM server application using the installation license certificate sent to you by our Licensing group. Once the TEM server application has been installed it will connect to the Internet and check in with the Flexera licensing servers and register your license serial number updating the Flexera license database. This is necessary.

Once the serial number has been registered with the Flexera license database, you can then make changes to your license.
