The WebSphere Application Server Performance Tuning Toolkit (PTT) is now available for IBM Support Assistant 4.1 on Windows and Linux. It is designed to help you find bottlenecks and tune your applications for the best performance.
The WebSphere Application Server Performance Tuning Toolkit (PTT) is an Eclipse based intelligent tool designed to help you monitor your system and locate performance bottlenecks using data analysis and statistical inference technology. Through JMX, the toolkit collects performance data from the Performance Monitoring Interface (PMI) of WebSphere Application Server, and generates charts and forms to locate bottlenecks and tune your applications to prevent them.
Key benefits of the Performance Tuning Toolkit include:
- Lightweight tool that does not need to be installed or integrated with your WebSphere Application Server environment.
- Real time monitoring and interactive analysis.
- Rule based events processing that allows you to add your own diagnostics logic.
- High extensibility.
- Easy to use interface.
