Is there a command or tool that will estimate how long rollforward of logs will take during Tivoli Storage manager version 6 database restore?
Answer
There is no accurate way to determine how long this will take. One way to estimate, is to check db2diag.log for the start and completion times for a retrieved log. You can then multiply the number of logs to roll forward times this time to get a rough estimate.
To check status of the log roll forward process, run the following command as the Db2 instance owner:
db2 rollforward db <dbname> query status
This command will tell you which log is currently being applied.
