Problem(Abstract)
Opening the properties window of a resource in the Policy Editor and selecting the general tab works fine, but all the other tabs are greyed out and unable to be selected
Symptom
Greyed out tabs in properties view of a resource in TSAAM's Policy Editor.
Environment
Tivoli System Automation Application Manager 3.1 users using the Policy Editor to work with policies for Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms
Resolving the problem
Using the policy editor to create a new resource may result in a situation where it is impossible to switch between the tabs "General" and "Class Attributes" to show or modify the attributes of the resource. The situation can be circumvented by clicking somewhere else in the policy window, and then back to the resource.
The internal handling of the Policy Editor has been modified to address this issue. The official fix is included in fix pack 6 of Tivoli System Automation Application Manager 3.1.
