Question
If there is a problem with the Guardium Collector, Aggregator or Central Manager, what basic information must be gathered before contacting IBM Software Support?

Starting with Version 8.01 there are some simple must gather commands that can be run by user cli that generate specific information about the state of any Appliance.
This information can be uploaded from the Appliance and sent to IBM Support whenever a PMR is logged.
In order to run these commands you will need to have a patch installed depending on your Version of the Guardium Appliance.
The latest GPU fix packs for all Version 8.x can be obtained from Fix Central
There was an earlier patch p9501 for both V8.01 and V8.2 - Please do NOT install this once the latest GPU fixpack is installed as some problems will arise.
The patch can be installed in the same way that any Guardium patch is installed - simply upload the patch to the appliance and install via cli or the gui interface as usual.
Once the correct patch is installed the must gather commands can be run at any time by user cli as per the IBM MustGather Collecting Data for Guardium Appliance
Important Note
If you have previously installed a GPU fix pack ( eg 8.01p120 or 8.2p150 ) and subsequently installed the must gather patch p9501, problems can arise when running the must gather commands - They may appear to hang. In this case please contact IBM Technical Support to fix the installed must gather commands.
