Problem(Abstract)
This is a warning message you may see when running pdcollect command on the TEMA endpoint.
Symptom
C:\IBM\ITM\BIN>tacmd pdcollect

Warning: invoking directly the pdcollect script is deprecated. You
should use "tacmd pdcollect" command.
Cause
This is a known issue documented under APAR IZ84401.
Resolving the problem
The new pdcollect implementation (via tacmd) pdcollect needs the User Interface Extension installed as the other tacmd commands. Script is maintained on agents although it is deprecated to avoid breaking old way of invoking it.
The tacmd CLI commands are not available because the Tivoli Enterprise Services User Interface Extensions of the product code UE are not installed. Install the UE extension to use this function and the
"Warning: invoking directly the pdcollect script is deprecated." message will not appear. Alternatively, you may disregard the warning message as this does not impact the resulting pdcollect output.
