Warning: invoking directly the pdcollect script is deprecated. You
should use "tacmd pdcollect" command.
Cause
This is a known issue documented under APAR IZ84401.
Resolving The Problem
The new pdcollect implementation (via tacmd) needs the User Interface Extension installed. The pdcollect script is maintained on agents although it is deprecated to avoid breaking the old way of invoking pdcollect.
The tacmd CLI commands are not available because the Tivoli Enterprise Services User Interface Extensions of the product code UE are not installed. Install the UE extension to use this function and the
"Warning: invoking directly the pdcollect script is deprecated." message will not appear. Alternatively, you may disregard the warning message as this does not impact the resulting pdcollect output.
Alternatively, you may use the attached copy of the pdcollect utility for Windows platform. For Linux and UNIX platform use the legacy product provided Digup utility located in <ITM_HOME>/bin directory with the -a option "./digup -a".
