Update to DB2 Version 9.7 packaging with a more robust and enhanced version of Optim Performance Manager and solidDB

Abstract

As of December 9, 2011, DB2® Advanced Enterprise Edition v9.7, DB2 Performance Optimization Feature, and the IBM® Database Developer Edition v9.7 include an updated version of IBM Optim™ Performance Manager, and the IBM Database Developer Edition 9.7 now includes IBM solidDB®.

Content

As of December 9, 2011, there has been an update to the packaging of the following products and features to enhance the value of their offerings:

  • DB2® Advanced Enterprise Edition Version 9.7
  • IBM® Database Developer Edition Version 9.7
  • IBM DB2 Performance Optimization Feature for Enterprise Server Edition

The following DB2 product editions now include entitlement to IBM Optim™ Performance Manager Enterprise Edition Version 5.1:
  • DB2 Advanced Enterprise Edition Version 9.7
  • IBM Database Developer Edition Version 9.7

The following DB2 product feature now includes entitlement to IBM Optim Performance Manager Extended Edition Version 5.1:
  • IBM DB2 Performance Optimization Feature for Enterprise Server Edition

The following DB2 product now includes IBM solidDB® Version 7.0
  • IBM Database Developer Edition Version 9.7

The entitlement updates are reflected in the license text found on the corresponding Activation CDs for DB2 Advanced Enterprise Edition Version 9.7, IBM Database Developer Edition Version 9.7, and IBM DB2 Performance Optimization Feature for Enterprise Server Edition.
