Possibility of restoring archived test artifacts in Rational Quality Manager
Is it possible to restore archived test artifacts in IBM Rational Quality Manager (RQM)?
One or more test artifacts such as test cases, scripts, and TERs have been deleted from your project and you are looking to restore them.
You cannot recover archived test artifacts without doing a full database restore from backup. Note that you will lose any work done since the backup was taken.
Once artifacts have been archived, they will remain in that state for audit purposes and cannot be un-archived or recovered. The test artifact will have to be manually re-created again.
You might be able to see a link in the user interface to the artifact and it may give some headline information, but it is in the "deleted" state and the data is empty.
There is an enhancement request to add the ability to restore archived test artifacts. See this link for more information:
Note: In RQM 3.0.1.x, we added support to GET the history of some archived test resource types using the RQM Reportable REST API (see https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RqmApi#historyUrl), which could be used to manually recreate those archived test resources.
