License not available error while logging into Rational AppScan Source 8.5

Problem(Abstract)

Attempts to login to IBM Rational AppScan Source version 8.5 results in "License not available."

Symptom

The full error message is as follows:

Message from Server: CRWAS2045E License not available. Check the license server to ensure you have an AppScan Server License available.

Cause

AppScan Enterprise Server version 8.5 (which replaces the Core components for AppScan Source version 8.5) needs a different server license for it to work.


Resolving the problem

You need to generate one of the following IBM Rational AppScan Server license for the setup to work.

  • IBM Rational AppScan Enterprise Svr Basic Per Install License Key
  • IBM Rational AppScan Enterprise Svr Per Install License Key

The above licenses would provide you with the following AppScanServerBasic and AppScanServerPremium INCREMENT blocks respectively.
