Problem
Attempts to run the IBM Rational Jazz Team Server (JTS) diagnostics results in consumer key errors with IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC).
Symptom
In the Diagnostic page of jts/admin web UI, the following error will be seen under the Jazz Foundation Services (JFS) Storage:
WARNINGS:
The consumer key <key hash> used by the storage
area com.ibm.team.lpa.ab23d2df-5000-44bf-82e3-24f1b41a86be does not exist.
This behavior may also render itself with the following error message in Diagnostics:
CRJZS5766W Resources cannot be accessed from the com.ibm.team.rdm.binary.resources storage area because the <key hash> consumer key does not exist. Create a consumer key, stop the server, and set the new consumer key to the storage area by using the "repotools-jts -setStorageAreaKeys list=com.ibm.rdm.binary.resouces,<new consumer key>". For more details, open the help system and search for CRJS5766W.Cause
The application does not automatically delete old key references, so when re-registering applications, the referenced keys may still exist and cause warnings or errors in the Diagnostics.
Resolving The Problem
To removed the unwanted keys, the following steps should be followed:
- Shutdown the Jazz Team Server and associated applications
- Run the following command to delete the referenced keys:
${JAZZ_HOME}\server\repotool-jts.bat repotools-jts.bat -deleteJFSResources consumerKey=${KEY_ID} force
Using the screenshot above as an example, the following command would be run:
repotools-jts.bat -deleteJFSResources consumerKey=fd43db48d8f94cd0baadcaaea251d94f force
- Rebuild the jazz indices: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/UnderstandingIndicesInJazz See section repotools reindex.
- After the command succeeds, restart the application server. The Diagnostics should complete successfully and without error.
